This month we will write about prophetic events that have happened that are the most important signs of the soon return of the Lord Jesus. These are some of the events that have pointed the way for us to know the season and the hour we are living in. One of the most vital and important signs as we were swept into the atomic age (Luke 21:26), Israel became a nation; the budding of the fig tree.This prophetically announced the Jews would return to the Holy Land, 1948. “This generation shall not pass until all of these things be fulfilled.” (Matt. 24:32-35) Israel becoming a nation depicts the very season of His return. No one seems to know the length of a generation but God gives us three score and ten (70 years) as one reference. (Ps. 90:10) – Modern man says average age is 71 years. Using 1948 plus 70 years is 2018. No one will know the day or the hour but we will know the season is nigh at hand! – As Jesus said, be ye also ready, for in an hour that ye think not He will appear! Only God knows the exact day or hour! Between events there is always a transition period. Jesus prophesied concerning the signs in the sun, in the moon and distress of nations in perplexity. (Luke 21:25) These signs have been astonishing events in our time. Man landed on the moon. But one thing for certain, terrible commotions are coming to shake the earth. On Dec. 26, 2004 Indonesia had a magnitude earthquake 9.0, 240,00 lives lost and caused our planet to shudder. Jan. 12,2010, in Haiti a 7.0 magnitude quake hit causing a death toll of 230,000. Feb. 27,2010, Chile’s quake of 8.8 caused a tsunami that toppled buildings and moved cities 10-11 feet westward. Mar. 11,2011, Japan had a magnitude 9.0 earthquake and a tsunami that followed causing about 16,000 lives to be lost. Also it shuddered the planet causing time to slow. Signs in the heavens – One time Brother Frisby spoke to me about the appearance of asteroids and meteors coming just before the return of Christ. On February 15, 2013 a large asteroid came within 17,000 miles of the earth. This asteroid was as large as the meteor that hit in Arizona abut 50,000 years ago leaving a mile wide crater. Also on Feb. 15,2013 in Russia a meteor exploded over some cities. Thousands of people were injured and shattered buildings as it went by. The event was filmed. – The weather has been the strangest already with cold and heavy snows, floods and droughts, fires, earthquakes as well as volcanic activity. Truly the earth is trembling! THE GOSPEL TRUTH

Quote - N.W. Hutchings - The heavenly bodies have a story to tell. They are witnesses providing us with knowledge concerning God's eternal will and purpose. Of the creation of the heavens, we read in Genesis 1:14, "And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years. "This scripture is in perfect accord with the science of astronomy. The rotation of the earth determines our days, the orbit of the earth around the sun determines our years, and the tilting of the earth on its axis determines our seasons. Not only is this in harmony with Scripture, but the Word of God states that all planets, moons, stars, galaxies, and clusters are for signs. There is not a planet, moon, asteroid, or comet that does not have its own place in the universal blueprint designed by the Creator. The word for "signs," as found in Genesis 1:14, is oth in the Hebrew. A sign is a mark to indicate something greater than the mark itself. Musical notes are symbols, or signs, to a pianist sitting at his instrument. If the pianist interprets the notes together in proper sequence, then the audience hears what the creator of the music intended when he wrote the composition. Likewise, the heavens are signs, as notes on a sheet of music. If we interpret the signs in the heavens correctly, then we can understand and appreciate the symphony of God's creation from the beginning to the end. Signs in the heavens can also be compared to notes of music in another way. As the pianist plays a sonata, the music, like a constant revelation, is heard in its proper sequence. Similarly, "signs" in Genesis 1:14 means that the heavens are the unfurling of God's revelation to man. In other words, the heavens tell the story of things to come. Note: Jesus said, Pray that ye escape all of these things and the elect will and stand before the living God. "Even so come Lord Jesus!"
